PHOTOGRAPHIC TOUR 7 DAYS

This tour is specially developed with photographers in mind to enjoy and capture the beautiful nature in Iceland. In this photographic tour is the ability to capture the Nature in its colorful surrounding, amazing sky, mountains, Geysers, powerful waterfalls, deserts, lava fields, volcanoes, glaciers and glaciers lagoon, flowers and plants, last but not the least animals and birds. The trip is taken in a 4x4 exploring the Highland as well as more common route like the South Coast.
Day 1 – 11th of July Arriving in Reykjavík
Arriving in Iceland, our guides will welcome you at the airport in Keflavík and bring you to your Hotel. Overnight stay in Reykjavík.
Day 2 – 12th of July Reykjavík
The day is dedicated to the city of Reykjavík at your leisure. Possibly to enjoy a walk around the centre, places to visit: Hallgrímskirkja the largest church in Iceland go to the top and enjoy the view over the city, the city hall (Ráðhús Reykjavíkur), the pond, Laugavegur the main shopping street, or just visit one of the museum´s and sense the atmosphere in this colorful northernmost capital of the world. Overnight stay in the same Hotel in Reykjavik.
Day 3 – 13th of July Landmannalaugar
Starting off the trip with a stop in places like the beautiful waterfall Seljalandsfoss close to the newest eruptions in Iceland Eyjafjallajokull 2010. Next there is Skogar where you can visit a museum and take a walk up to the waterfall Skogarfoss. You will enjoy the small peninsula Dyrholaey which is a great place to photograph birds like Puffins, Seagulls and more. Reynisdrangar black basalt columns sculpted by the sea the black sand beaches and the little village of Vik with its 280 habitants. You will spend your first night in the magical surroundings of the glacier Myrdalsjokull in a Chalet.
Day 4 – 14th of July Landmannalaugar
After breakfast we start the day with visiting Jökulsárlón a glacier lagoon with floating icebergs in the roots of Europe´s biggest glacier Vatnajökull. The scenery is amazing and very photogenic. Next stop is the National Park in Skaftafell where we´ll take a walk up to the special waterfall Svartifoss (Black fall) It is surrounded by dark lava columns. The night spent in Skaftafell the National Park.
Day 5 – 15th of July Svínafell
Our first stop today is Núpsstaður a farm with an old turf church; it is believed that the chapel is mostly from a church that was build around 1650. Thereafter we visit the village Kirkjubæjarklaustur the site of the first monastery in Iceland. Onto the Highland road F208 to Landmannalaugar, the way itself is beautiful and colorful. We reach Landmannalaugar in the afternoon. The night spent in Landmannalaugar.
Day 6 – 16th of July Thakgil/Þakgil
The day is dedicated to Landmannalaugar a pearl in nature, where hot and cold water springs create a warm steam. These magical surroundings specially the multicolored mountains make fantastic scenery for photographs. We will enjoy the day in this untouched nature. The night is spent in Landmannalaugar
Day 7 – 17th of July Reykjavík
From Landmannalaugar we go to the Golden Circle, refers to three large attractions: Gullfoss-Geysir-Þingvellir. Gullfoss (Golden Fall) a beautiful waterfall and one of the largest in Iceland. Geysir, a hot spring, there close by is Strokkur that spews up hot water, on average, once every 5 min. Our last stop is the National Park Þingvellir, where the first world’s first recorded Parliament was held and all the major national Icelandic events from 930AD until 1798AD. Þingvellir is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Þingvellir is also on the plate between North American and Eurasian. The night is spent in Reykjavik.
Day 7 – 18th of July
We visit the Blue Lagoon where a relaxing bath can be enjoyed; thereafter we transport you to the airport in Keflavík for your departure.
